So this is me...
20 random stuff about me.
1. The story of my name. Father named me for some odd reasons. When he was in college, all his girl classmates have the-very-common-name “Ma./Maria” (like Ma. Isabel, Maria Salvacion, Ma. Silvana, Maria Clara, etc.)and he said they were all pretty smart. So he figured, “What the heck?” Then there was a famous child wonder on television in late 80’s named “Shaira” Luna, who happened to endorse a milk product, Promil. The name “Beth” was cropped from my mother’s name, Elizabeth. So there, I ended up as Ma. Shaira Beth. I still prefer Shaira Beth, but I guess my name isn’t so bad. It’s just that… I think it sounds old. =S
2. Speaking of names when I was in grade school, my classmates used to tease me. They were calling me, “Shaira Beth, rabbit” SHAI-RA-BETH-RA-BBIT… they kinda rhyme, right?! Even though I didn’t bother them, I found it cute. Hahahaha. =P
3. I’ve always had bangs and my mother used to cut my hair short when I was in grade school. Ear level. And I was like, “Mom, careful. You could cut my ear! It’s so close I can feel it.”
4. Sometimes I really have sweaty hands. Either when I’m not comfortable with someone or something.
5. My celebrity crushes are: Triple H, Mark Ruffalo, Huge Jackman, Brandon Routh and Tom Welling.
6. When I was a kid, I couldn’t care less how I look like. No kidding. Whether I seemed awful, filthy, ugly, wasted. The hell I care! I was in third year high school when I noticed, “Hey, I could look freakin’ better if I could just fix my hair, paint my lips with lip-gloss and wear a smile.” So now I make sure I always look good… I mean, feel good. I pretty like it! Hahahaha. =)
7. When I was in second grade, my classmate Alvin kissed me on the cheek and I thought like he had a crush on me. Many years passed. We were in college and we saw each other again. He was wearing those deadly high heels, his hair was long, (longer than mine) he dressed up like a real girl and it really surprised me. He proudly told me his new name… Alexandra Gayle. Oh great!
8. I’m an avid fun of napping. Oh my, I love sleeping. If I could sleep the whole day I’d love to!!! I sleep late and I’m not a morning person. And dear father doesn’t tolerate this worst habit of mine. He yells at me everytime. Now I’m trying my best to break this kind of addiction. I MUST SO.
9. I look at mirrors, car mirrors and windows and the like. Whatever shiny surface… then I smile. =)
10. I don’t know why I was so freakin’ scared of lights and thunder. Such a terrible, horrible, feeling. Now, I am still… but not as much as before.
11. Either I affectionately get attracted to someone who’s older than me or younger than me. IDK. It just happens.
12. I love to play piano and guitar. I call them “PianGuit,” my best buddies. I also love to sing… everytime… everywhere… They say, “When words fail. Music speaks.” BUT I’m NOT good with these things.
13. When I was 14, I nearly drowned in a six-feet pool. I saved myself by grabbing someone’s “salbabida” on to it until I managed to pull myself. Thank God a cute guy accompanied me to get back at the side of the pool and the people around was teasing us. It was totally embarrassing! I’m talking about my “almost drowning” not that cute guy. Geez, I never learned how to swim.
14. I have a cat named, Antoniaj Meefui (I love her dearly) and kittens Shawty and Scitami-Tam. (I miss them so much) Now I’m planning to have a new pet. Perhaps a cute turtle, or a funny hamster, or a super huge spider!
15. I just realized I love kids. I have been a teacher. I’ve never dreamed of becoming a teacher until I was.
16. Nothing makes me happier than talking, spending time with my loved ones.
17. I pay a lot of attention to someone who understands me. If you’re sweet to me, I’ll be sweeter to you. Love me, I’ll love you more.
18. Other things I like: music, superman, purple, stars, chocolates, love letters, mango shake, toy cars, books, art, gums, movies, pictures, surprises, adventures, cloud watching, people watching, daydreaming, tender hugs……….
19. I have been waiting for SOMETHING AND SOMEONE.
20. I’m a frustrated: Director/ writer/ model/ photographer/ dj/ rockstar (Please don’t argue me with this one) and somehow I wish to be a wedding-planner. Isn’t it cool?
